Description

In version 2.7.8, for a new topic i get the following search result: "test" was not found in any topic.
Here the buttons "EditPage" and "Attach" are greyed out (deactivated).

On the same tomcat, for version 2.7.1, i get: "test" This is a new topic. In this version i can create a new page.

If i modify the url in 2.7.8 to "http://localhost:8088/vqwiki-2.7.8/jsp/Wiki?test", i can create a new topic.
Therefore it seems to be a ui / jsp question.

Thanks for any help!

Martin,

This is actually not a bug. In the user interface in version 2.7.1, the "Go to" button was placed before the "Search" button. This meant that if you entered some text in the field and simply hit enter, the default action was to "Go to" the topic with that text. If that topic did not exist, you got "This is a new topic".

In release 2.7.8, the buttons were moved so that the "Search" button became the first one and as such the default one. More people were using the field to search instead of going to a topic. So now when you hit enter, the wiki searches for your entered text. If you want to achieve the same result as in 2.7.1, just click on the "Go to" button.

To create a topic, you can offcourse also simply create a link to it from the left menu or any other topic.

Hope this helps?

Yours, Martijn
